Britney Spears graces the front cover of this months Marie Claire UK.
Photographed by David Roemer and styled by Jayne Pickering, Britney opens up to the magazine about motherhood, dating and being comfortable in her own skin.
Britney tells writer Louise Gannon how becoming a Mother has helped her to feel more relaxed and carefree.
“Becoming a Mother and being with my boys has made me so much more accepting of myself.”
“I moved to Los Angeles when I was very young” Britney says, “I was so under scrutiny. If a hair was out of place, I’d be so anxious. I would get very anxious about so many things.”
Britney also tells the magazine that being famous doesn’t make dating any easier.
“I had a really bad date. I mean, it was really bad,” Spears confessed. “I’ve been single for ages and had a date with a guy I liked. I was getting anxious, worrying he wouldn’t like me.”
“We went to the movies, but I could tell right away it wasn’t working. It was sort of awkward. He just wasn’t that into me. I liked him. He knew that. But he definitely didn’t feel the same. It happens to everybody. Being famous doesn’t make you any different.”
It’s been a busy few months for Britney as promotes her ninth studio album ‘Glory’, which was released this week.
As well as appearing on Carpool Karaoke, The Today Show and Ellen, Britney will also perform at this months iHeartRadio Festival in Las Vegas and the Apple Music Festival in London.
On Sunday evening she made a triumphant return to the MTV Video Music Awards stage, performing her latest single ‘Make Me’ with G-Eazy.
